Special Fish is not investor-backed. I truly don't believe in investor-backed websites. They don't have the users' best interests at heart, and eventually they will be sold and shut down.

Instead, Special Fish is made possible by the support of its users. Every user costs the site money. If you have the means, please consider supporting the site yearly. A yearly subscription of $40 is suggested. Supporting users pay for users who don't have the means to support the site.
